Europe MidScales Explorer from Collins Bartholomew is an authoritative and accurate geo-referenced digital vector map of Western Europe. Designed by the same professional cartographers who create the Times Comprehensive World Atlas, its rich content and easy-to-use structure will enable you to perform both simple and complex geographic analysis and visualise geography at a global level. The feature coding supports complex GIS applications if required and boundaries are rigorously checked and verified in order to give an accurate picture of world political geography as it is today. First order internal administrative divisions are included for all countries. Some countries also have 2nd order internal administrative divisions. All names are in their local form, so Munich, Germany, would appear as München. Munich would be held as an alternative name amongst the 20,000 or so alternative names that we currently hold.
